Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to join our Biomarker and Bioanalytical Platform (BBP) department in Precision Medicine (PMed). The successful candidate will work on clinical translational projects across GSK's respiratory, immunology, and emerging specialties portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine histotechnology including biopsy processing, microtomy, histochemical staining and slide scanning to QC and prepare samples for downstream spatial or SC analysis.
- Compile QC reports and write standard operating procedures, analytical methods, and protocols and record data in-line with GCP lab standards.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Translational Research, Translational Sciences, Precision Medicine, HBSM, and Pathology.
- Provide necessary training and help troubleshoot issues within the team.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in biological sciences or a relevant scientific field (e.g., immunology, molecular biology, cancer biology, neurobiology, genomics)
- Experienced in working with spatial-omic platforms Visium and Xenium, including the design, implementation and troubleshooting of spatial-omics experiments.
- Familiar with working in a matrixed environment, on multiple projects, and be able to meet strict deadlines.
