The course runs every Friday 10am-2:30pm in-person, and additional online sessions can be arranged on flexible days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging face-to-face lessons every Friday and additional flexible online sessions.
  • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning resources.
  • Teach learners at different ability levels, offering personalised support.
  • Prepare and assess assignments, using methods such as written tasks, presentations, and creative projects.
  • Support learners in developing a thorough understanding of the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma Introducing Caring for Children and Young People.
  • Track and monitor learner progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Assist in curriculum development and ensure lessons are aligned with the awarding body's standards and requirements.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies to ensure learners' safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Teaching Qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering adult education programmes, preferably in subjects related to Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Knowledge of the NCFE awarding body and its qualification framework.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons for learners of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one before starting).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity.
