At Cavendish Nuclear, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Capability Lead Waste and Environmental, you'll play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions and recommendations for improvement in the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the Waste and Environmental Capability to be industry-leading in line with Cavendish Nuclear strategy and growth plans.
  • Take an active role in professional networks on behalf of Cavendish Nuclear.
  • Lead the development and implementation of capability strategies and plans.
  • Be responsible for the career development of waste and environmental specialists.

This role requires regular travel across internal and customer sites on a weekly/monthly basis, alongside home working arrangements. Agile working may be available, applying the principles of fairness and consistency while ensuring business needs are met.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in the nuclear sector, with significant radioactive waste management experience proven over several years.
  • Proven experience in supporting projects throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Experience of building and line managing technical teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of an established network within the radioactive waste sector.

Qualifications:

  • Degree (or similar/equivalent qualification) in a relevant technical discipline.
