Job Overview:
As a Senior Supply Chain Director, you will play a key role in leading and optimising our end-to-end supply chain operations. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution processes across multiple regions. Your focus will be on driving efficiency, cost savings, and continuous improvement while fostering collaboration across departments to meet customer demands.
Key Performance Objectives:
- Oversee and manage the full supply chain process from procurement to delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
Process Optimisation:
- Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Lead initiatives in lean manufacturing, inventory optimisation, and supply chain automation.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality materials. Negotiate contracts and evaluate supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Inventory and Demand Planning:
- Develop and manage inventory strategies to meet customer demand while minimising excess stock and waste. Work closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align forecasts with production and delivery schedules.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilise data analytics to monitor supply chain performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Track KPIs such as lead time, cost savings, and delivery performance.
Risk Management:
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks within the supply chain, such as disruptions in raw material supply, transportation issues, or unexpected changes in demand.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
- Experience in managing supply chains in a global environment, ideally within manufacturing or retail sectors.
- Proven track record of process improvement and cost reduction through lean methodologies or similar approaches.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities with a focus on team development and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and data analytics tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
- Passion for sustainability and experience in driving green initiatives is a plus.
