About the Role

Havant and South Downs College (HSDC) is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Health and Science team as a Technician. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a Science background who enjoys working with young people and contributing to a successful curriculum team.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support to staff, responding to the practical needs of qualifications.
• Operate the learning environment, science equipment, and teaching resources, supervising designated learning areas.
• Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Organize daily activities, preparing teaching resources and maintaining the learning environment.
• Order and stock materials, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring correct usage and safe storage.
• Clean and maintain working spaces, develop a positive working environment, and provide technical support.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in the relevant subject area or relevant industry experience.
• Technical qualification in the relevant subject area.
• Relevant industrial/subject experience.
• Experience of following Health & Safety Procedures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience of ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
