Job Type: Part-time, Fixed-term Contract

Salary: £31,773- £42,021 Depending on Experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teacher of Business and Accounting to join our team at INTO Lancaster Study Centre. As a Teacher of Business and Accounting, you will be responsible for delivering lectures, seminars, labs, and tutorials to students on the INTO Lancaster University International Foundation Programme at RQF level 3 and Pre-Master's Programme at RQF level 6.

You will have the ability to teach students from a variety of countries and cultural backgrounds, and with different language levels. You will assess the effectiveness of teaching skills against student progress and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that provide for effective teaching strategies and meet the individual needs of students.
  • Prepare, select, and use teaching-learning materials for international students.
  • Attend regular staff and student representative meetings.
  • Design and set and mark assessments for students in teaching groups.
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to students and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
  • Develop reasonable rules of classroom behaviour and ensure they are consistently applied.
  • Liaise with the Academic Managers in communications with the Examinations Board.
About You:

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in Accountancy and/or Business Studies, and a relevant teaching qualification with relevant teaching experience at pre-degree level and/or undergraduate level.

You will have the ability to teach students from a variety of countries and cultural backgrounds, and with different language levels.

You will be able to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
