Quantity Surveyor Opportunity at Kier Group

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the North East region. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating cost and risk on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and manage project work packages, assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.
  • Negotiate with sub-contractor supply chains to achieve best value.
  • Manage applications for payment from sub-contractors and prepare applications for payment to clients.
  • Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in quantity surveying.
  • Prior quantity surveying experience gained within the main contractor environment.
  • Strong knowledge of delivering under NEC/JCT Contract conditions.
  • Confidence in dealing with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders.
