Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Professional to join our team at GLG Vets in Sherwood, Nottinghamshire. As part of our dynamic veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional care to animals while working in a collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.

Job Summary
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week over 4 days with 1:3 half weekends. The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
  • Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
