English Academic Mentor Job Opportunity

We are seeking an English Academic Mentor to join our exceptional support and teaching team at a supportive and inclusive Secondary School based in the Borough of Lambeth.

This English Academic Mentor role involves working closely with the English Department and providing support to students through KS3, KS4, and KS5. As an English Academic Mentor, you will have the opportunity to gain Teacher Training and valuable school-based experience that will be a great asset to your teaching career.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting students in English Lessons
  2. Assisting pupils with SEND/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
  3. Working in a fantastic Secondary School in Lambeth
  4. Opportunities for Teacher Training
  5. £105 - £110 a day
  6. Monday - Friday only
  7. Term-Time role
  8. Long-Term, Full-Time
Requirements:
  1. A graduate with strong academics such as a 1st Class or 2:1
  2. The desire to become a teacher with a focus on English
  3. A passion for learning and making a positive difference to young people
  4. Previous experience in a school/working with children
  5. A good understanding of SEND/SEMH needs
