BarthHaas UK is a leading supplier of hops and hop products to top breweries worldwide. We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Paddock Wood. As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for performing equipment maintenance, conducting maintenance engineering activities, and repairing machinery. Your electrical maintenance expertise will be invaluable in supporting our processing performance. You'll work closely with our production team and engineering manager to develop solutions and optimize our operations. Key responsibilities include:Key Responsibilities
  • Performing equipment maintenance and conducting maintenance engineering activities
  • Repairing and conducting preventive and reactive maintenance on machinery
  • Supporting the engineering manager and projects team with new equipment installation
Requirements
  • Engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship with HNC, ONC or equivalent
  • Practical electrical and mechanical experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to rapidly diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical control and instrumentation faults
  • Experience in working in a safe working environment (Permit to work, IOSH)
  • Liaising with suppliers and third-party resources to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance
Working Conditions
  • Pipework (water, steam, air, pressured, chemical)
  • Food grade areas and appreciation of HACCP systems
  • Computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
Working Hours
  • Two shift system: earlies and lates. Occasional weekends at overtime rates
