Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Birmingham to work on a flagship project worth circa £80m in value. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with experience working on high-value schemes in excess of £20m from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports to stakeholders, including financial updates, progress reports, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a main contractor environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • UK driving license.
