Job Title: Building Control Compliance Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Building Control Compliance Inspector to join our team at We Recruit Group Ltd. As a key member of our Construction & Design Consultancy team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with building regulations and legislation.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary property & construction consultancy that operates across London and the South East. You will be working with a wide variety of clients across the built environment, delivering the Building Regs Principal Designer role and ensuring building regs compliance is achieved on all projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out building control inspections, site visits, surveys, and prepare reports.
  • Offer advice around the Building Safety Act.
  • Liaise with Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, and other parties to ensure compliance on projects.
  • Undertake plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
  • Inspect properties and buildings at key stages of the building process.
  • Attend client and design team meetings to offer professional input related to building regs compliance.
  • Provide technical advice to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed in line with current building regulations and legislation.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or similar discipline.
  • Excellent knowledge of BSA building regulations, codes, and legislation.
  • Travel and mileage expenses covered.
