Job Title: Educational Animal Management Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Educational Animal Management Specialist to join our team at Derby College, located in a beautiful campus.
The successful candidate will have proven experience providing outstanding support for learners and be flexible, self-motivated, and dedicated to student achievement and quality. They will assist with the planning and programme leadership of the Animal Management (Zoo and Wildlife) degree programmes, delivering theory aspects supported by practical embedment using our Animal Unit, guest speakers, and external visits.
This role requires delivering high-quality, inspirational teaching that encourages students to reach their full potential, promoting progression onto higher-level courses, apprenticeships, or successful careers in the Zoo and Wildlife, Conservation, or Animal Management industry. The specialist will also be required to upskill existing staff members, enhancing their abilities to effectively manage learning outcomes.
The estimated salary for this position is £31,035-£41,683 per annum, depending on qualifications. Additional benefits include 49 days holiday pro rata, membership of the Teacher's Pension Scheme with a 28.68% employer contribution, and development opportunities.
