About the Role

Harris Academy Clapham is seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and resources that promote academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver lesson plans that meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to inform instruction
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans that align with national standards
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic success
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices in education

Requirements

  • QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at secondary level, preferably in a multi-ethnic urban school setting
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies, including differentiated instruction and assessment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and promote a positive school culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
