Trainee Building Pathologist

This is an exciting opportunity to excel as a Building Pathologist, playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and proactive Building Pathologist to join our team. You will be exposed to a number of unique projects throughout the UK, working with heritage organisations through to commercial property managers. In this role, you will be delivering quality specialist solutions by investigating problems affecting a variety of buildings.

This person will be required to drive to client sites, and so a full driving licence, valid in the UK is necessary. This may be supported with the benefits of company cars or a car allowance, dependent upon the individual and site where you are employed.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
  1. Carrying out building investigations and analysis utilising a range of techniques.
  2. Preparing reports with the necessary background research and remedial recommendations, illustrated with photographs, sketch details and CAD plans.
  3. Providing high quality, professional and timely advice to clients relating to building defects, material condition and performance.
  4. Following established company procedures and protocols and assisting in the development of new systems to ensure that the company's quality standards are maintained and enhanced.
  5. Undertaking personal training and development, as discussed with Directors.
  6. Ensuring confidentiality at all times in all matters relating to any work or communication with the company and clients.
  7. High standards of written and spoken English.
Preferable qualities
  1. Have a Bachelors or Master's Degree in a field relevant to the construction industry and built environment.
