About the Role

Doncaster Council is seeking a highly skilled Investment Officer to lead the development of the retail and leisure sector in Doncaster. As a key member of the Business Doncaster team, you will be responsible for driving economic growth and creating new job opportunities for local residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a compelling inward investment strategy for retail and leisure in Doncaster
  • Work with public and private partners to generate new inward investment and create new jobs
  • Lead and maintain a proactive and systematic process of networking, direct contact, marketing campaigns, and event attendance to generate major retail and leisure sector specific enquiries
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outcomes related to inward investment and economic development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including private sector companies and individuals
Requirements
  • Significant business development experience working with the private sector
  • Good working knowledge of policy and strategy across the retail and leisure sectors
