Job Overview

In Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Children's Respiratory Physiotherapy Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to work with children and young people (CYP) aged 0-19 years with respiratory complications.

About the Role

This role will involve managing a diverse caseload of CYP with respiratory physiotherapy needs in accordance with departmental clinical pathways, protocols, and guidelines. You will be responsible for specialist respiratory CYP clinical assessment and intervention, formulation of management plans and reports, deliver training programmes including competency-based training and assessment for a wide range of professionals, CWPT carers, and parents.

You will work autonomously and alongside other Allied Health Professionals, Consultants, Community Paediatricians, Community Children's Nurses, education staff, and social services to deliver a high standard of care for CYP in Coventry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of CYP with respiratory physiotherapy needs
  • Clinical assessment and intervention for CYP with respiratory complications
  • Formulation of management plans and reports
  • Deliver training programmes for various professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Physiotherapy degree or equivalent
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Postgraduate training relevant to the client group
  • Transferable skills as a qualified physiotherapist
  • Clinical respiratory physiotherapy experience with transferable skills to a paediatric caseload

Salary and Location

The estimated salary for this role is £43,041 per annum, plus benefits. The position is based in Coventry and Warwickshire, with opportunities to work in various settings, including special schools, mainstream schools, respite, hospitals, family homes, and hospices.
