Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Trainee Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking fresh food, including prepping and baking, knife and board skills, making desserts, and preparing food from the menu.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fresh food, ready for selling in the farm shop
  • Prep and bake food for the café and shop
  • Develop knife and board skills to prepare ingredients
  • Make a range of desserts from the menu
  • Ensure allergen awareness and follow health and safety protocols
  • Prepare and cook food for 'Pizza night' on the 2nd Friday of each month
  • General cleaning and housekeeping of the kitchen
  • Plate up food and may serve and clear tables

Requirements:

  • Reliable transport or willingness to use public transport
  • Clean and hygienic working habits
  • Friendly and approachable attitude
  • Willingness to learn and passion for cooking
  • Teamworking and flexibility
