Job Title: Mechanical Technical Instructor

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technical Instructor to join our team at Fastnet Group. As a Mechanical Technical Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our apprentices and adult learners in the areas of Mechanical maintenance and Fluid Power.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs that meet the requirements of the relevant Awarding Body and our customers.
  • Create engaging and stimulating learning environments that allow learners to acquire the skills and knowledge required.
  • Assess learner progress and provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback to learners and managers.
  • Ensure teaching and learning is compliant with OFSTED, LSC, Awarding Body, and our standards/criteria.
  • Maintain learner discipline and ensure the health and safety of learners and staff.
  • Provide instructional cover for other areas of first-year delivery as necessary.
  • Deliver short courses and programs as required.

Requirements:

  • Time-served apprentice or relevant City and Guilds (Part 3) qualification or full Technical Certificate or National Certificate or higher.
  • Skills-specific NVQ Level 3 or higher or equivalent.
  • Level 3 (or higher) teacher training qualification.
  • Recent industrial experience combined with knowledge of current industry and best practice standards.
  • Leadership and people development skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills.
