Paediatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our specialist acute and community team, working with the sickle cell and thalassaemia population across the borough of Croydon.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Paediatric Nurse to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of a high-quality haemoglobinopathies service in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide care and support to individuals and families with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia in the home and in hospital.
- Contribute to the development and review of nursing/MDT protocols and care plans.
- Work in partnership with service users and families to develop and implement programmes of care.
- Deliver advice to support health promotion, improved quality of life, and prevent illness.
- Provide teaching/training on Haemoglobinopathy nursing issues.
- Relevant post-registration qualification in haemoglobinopathies.
- Knowledge and understanding of patients with sickle cell-disease and thalassaemia and blood disorders.
- Cannulation and phlebotomy skills.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
