Job Title: Systems Performance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Performance Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Whole Boat Systems Integration team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of design solutions and ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of design solutions to agreed time, cost, and quality in accordance with project or business milestones
  • Support the development and management of requirements specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform, or programme
  • Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools, and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority
  • Support the development of estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver it in order to support bids, proposal development, and project planning activities for various systems
  • Work with various engineering teams to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertise

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification within a STEM field or equivalent practical experience
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices and the correct recognition of the context of their work within the overall product and academic basis underpinning the discipline
  • Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the phase relevant to the role and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices
