Converting Production Manager

A leading tissue paper manufacturer is seeking a Converting Production Manager to oversee and optimize production processes. This role involves managing converting operations, ensuring high efficiency and quality, leading a production team, and driving continuous improvement to meet company targets and uphold safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and product safety provisions, as well as ISO 9001 Quality System and company policies.
- Manage production personnel, including shift rotation and training.
- Collaborate with the Production Planning Office to suggest corrective actions and improve production processes.
- Work with the Product Office to update technical specifications and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in the assessment of auxiliary raw materials and promote innovative solutions to optimize production processes.
- Promote a safety, quality, and environment-bound corporate culture.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience in a production or operations management role within the packaging or paper mill manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of converting operations and production processes.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing production teams.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Strong leadership abilities and team management skills.
- Proficiency in project management and process improvement.
