About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Control System Engineer to join our team in Glenrothes, Fife. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing control software for various industries, utilizing PLC programming and SCADA knowledge to deliver solutions to clients while ensuring all activities are carried out to the highest standard of quality.

You will work closely with the project team and management to ensure the solution provided is of optimum cost while being technically acceptable and in accordance with client specifications and current legislation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop control software for various industries.

  • Provide automation and process control system development, software, and hardware solutions.
  • Maintain a good understanding of project requirements by planning and forecasting, reacting to any changes that may occur, and managing multiple projects through their life cycle.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc or BEng in Engineering/Science or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical, Control Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in Control Systems Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Siemens and/or Rockwell Automation and/or Schneider Electric latest Automation and Process Control Systems.
  • Able to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience in completion of full turnkey projects from design through to programming and commissioning.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be experienced with client-facing.
