Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Project Start Recruitment. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting annual LOLER inspections, servicing, and repairs to ALLMI standards and within Palfinger/industry-prescribed timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct annual LOLER inspections, servicing, and repairs to ALLMI standards and within Palfinger/industry-prescribed timelines.
  • Provide emergency call-out cover and attend to breakdowns.
  • Maintain an online work diary, liaising with Service Control and customers to manage any changes efficiently.
  • Support Service Admin with timely submissions of repair estimates.
  • Apply excellent customer care skills, ensuring customer expectations are met and they are regularly informed of job progress.
  • Manage the company van, including daily safety checks, servicing, maintaining stock levels, and notifying Service Control of any driving license endorsements, parking, or speeding fines.
Requirements:
  • Technical experience in LOLER, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both over the phone and face-to-face.
  • Competent in using a computer.
  • A clean UK driving license is essential due to the nature of the role.

Schedule:
  • 8-hour or 10-hour shifts.
