Aviation Engineering Asset Lead

Join us as an Aviation Engineering Asset Lead and play a key role in managing up to 10 projects simultaneously. This exciting opportunity involves working across all aspects of project management, from design and planning to execution and handover.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for leading capital investment projects that positively impact safety, productivity, and environmental standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth management of change activities.

As an Aviation Engineering Asset Lead, you will have a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. The salary range for this role is £50,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience), plus a competitive benefits package including pension, private medical, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About the Role

  • Managing up to 10 projects at any given time, with project values ranging from £20,000 to £750,000.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth coordination, clear communication, and adherence to project goals and safety standards.
  • Developing compelling business cases to secure project funding and authorisation.
  • Leading Meaningful Projects: Manage capital investment projects that positively impact safety, productivity, and environmental standards.
  • Driving Improvements: Scope and manage productivity enhancement initiatives, ensuring smooth management of change activities.
  • Delivering Accountability and Results: Produce detailed reports to secure project expenditure sign-off.

  • Proven Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience managing multiple moderately complex projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical & Business Acumen: Skilled in crafting detailed reports and developing compelling business cases to secure project funding and authorisation.
  • Contractor Management Experience: Adept at managing internal and external contractors, ensuring smooth coordination, clear communication, and adherence to project goals and safety standards.
