About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Sunamp, a leading manufacturer of heat batteries that use phase change materials to provide heat and hot water. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our innovative products, working closely with our design and engineering teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for our heat batteries, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product designs, including prototype qualification and product certification
  • Lead on electrical design and implementation for products, including product design, implementation, report and analysis, testing and strategy
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans and reports
  • Contribute to the development of our product roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Proven experience in electrical product design, with a focus on heat storage and renewable energy systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, including thermodynamics, heat transfer and thermal properties of materials
  • Experience with phase change materials and their use for heat storage
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
