SEND Teaching Assistant - SEMH Support

I C Talent Ltd is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with students with Autism Spectrum Condition, Specific Learning Disability, and medical needs in a fantastic school located in Wisbech and surrounding areas.

The role involves working under the guidance of the classroom teacher, supporting the teacher and working in small groups with children who have Specific Learning Disability, Physical Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Condition, and medical needs.

You will be required to tailor your approach to suit the needs of children with needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Working in small groups with children who have SEND
  • Providing individual support to children with specific needs
  • Assisting with the development of individual education plans
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with at least six months experience in UK Schools
  • A child-centred approach
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
