Job Title: Aerospace Design Engineer

Thompson Aero Seating Ltd is seeking a skilled Aerospace Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering innovative design solutions for new concepts and customizing existing products for our customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, plans, and reports related to aircraft seating.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure compliant, airworthy products.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify design improvements and implement changes.
  • Support project teams in designing new products, ensuring they meet reliability and airworthiness standards.
  • Identify and mitigate airworthiness risks, leading root cause analysis and proposing solutions.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer-aided design software.
  • Ability to provide input to technical solutions on a wide range of problems, understanding manufacturing and certification principles.
  • Hold a relevant Engineering degree or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years working in an Engineering environment.
  • A high level of technical and practical knowledge, with the ability to apply this knowledge to applied problem-solving.
