Job Description

At Burtons Manufacturing Co Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Medical Assembly Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling medical and veterinary equipment in a purpose-built workshop.

The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to interpret technical documents and follow assembly drawings. They will work closely with the team to maintain a clean workspace and identify defective items according to established procedures.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to use hand tools competently and solve problems as they arise. The successful candidate will also have excellent attention to detail and basic assembly skills.

We offer a full-time permanent contract with benefits, including a contributory pension scheme and opportunities to train and progress. The estimated salary for this position is £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble medical and veterinary equipment according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Use hand tools and machinery to assemble and repair products
  • Work effectively in a team environment to meet production deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Identify and report any defects or quality issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. engineering, manufacturing)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and follow assembly drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
