The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in Stirling, working on a hybrid basis. This role will involve managing and delivering one or more programme work-streams to meet business objectives.

The successful candidate will have the potential to work across a variety of different projects, spanning business, operations, and IT change.

You'll be:

  • Leading projects or work streams within larger programmes, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and plan alignment.
  • Developing and shaping the project approach.
  • Applying appropriate project management methods, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Identifying root issues and providing strategic insights.
  • Establishing and managing effective project teams, including recruiting, developing, and motivating staff.
  • Managing budget reporting, forecasting, and expenditures for projects.
  • Planning and managing resources for project delivery, including contingency planning.
  • Contributing to the selection and management of relationships with technical partners, software vendors, and contract agencies.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and key customers, ensuring project delivery meets their requirements.

You should apply if you:

  • Have proven experience in delivering large projects and programmes.
  • Are skilled in managing and motivating specialist and non-specialist staff.
  • Have experience in handling medium to high-scale and/or medium to high-risk projects, particularly in commercial outsourcing or financial services.
  • Are comfortable managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Are versatile, with a background in various disciplines and able to quickly learn new areas and build credibility with professionals from different fields.
  • Have led business solution identification and project initiation.
  • Have in-depth experience in Life and Pensions operations, with a strong understanding of its internal functions.
