Cultural Psychoanalysis Scholar

We are seeking a talented scholar to join our team as a PhD researcher in emotional experience and cultural objects. As a member of our centre, you will contribute to cutting-edge research and advanced your knowledge in psychoanalysis and culture.

This full-time position offers a generous compensation package of £19,000 per year, plus full tuition fees for three years. This comprehensive support enables you to concentrate on your research without worrying about finances.

As a PhD researcher, you will undertake analytical projects applying Kleinian and British Independent psychoanalytic traditions. Your research may involve:

• Examining film, art, literature, or music through textual analysis or psychosocial studies methodologies.
• Investigating unconscious processes when audiences engage with cultural objects.
• Analyzing psychoanalysts' relationships with cultural objects and its implications for clinical practice.
• Exploring visitors' experiences with cultural spaces and artefacts.
