Job Title: Python Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team at RBW Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining production-quality software using Python/Django and/or JavaScript/React/HTML/CSS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop production-quality modules for systems using Python/Django and/or JavaScript/React/HTML/CSS.
  • Create and maintain key analysis pipelines to process scientific data efficiently.
  • Collaborate with scientific team leaders to gather and refine software requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of scientific workflows and propose technical solutions to optimize data and workflow management.
  • Take responsibility for individual software development projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality code.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, adhere to best practices, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of bioinformatics analysis pipelines.
  • Leverage expertise in relational databases and SQL to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Perform data migrations to efficiently transfer and transform data as part of legacy system upgrades or changes.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in Python/Django.
  • Experience in Jython.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
