Job Description

Melber Flinn is a specialist healthcare recruitment business, focused on placing management and change professionals into the NHS and private healthcare. We are currently supporting a large private provider of mental health services to find a Hospital Director for one of its sites in the West Midlands.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing a high-performing hospital that provides a range of mental health and rehabilitation services with approximately 25 inpatient beds. The hospital has a stable recent history of leadership, with no significant people or cultural issues that need to be addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality mental health services
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain quality standards and drive growth and profitability
  • Collaborate with corporate infrastructure to support hospital operations
  • Ensure strong referrals and maintain occupancy levels

Requirements:

You will ideally be a registered mental health nurse (RMN) or Occupational Therapist by professional training, with a deep understanding of mental health services from either the NHS or independent sector. You will bring strong operational management and clinical leadership skills, and a balance of focus on quality improvement and growth.
