Support Assistant for Students with Special Needs

Long-term Teachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to support students with special educational needs in a therapeutic environment.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working with students who have encountered challenges in mainstream settings and a patient, caring attitude to help them enjoy learning again.
The role involves offering 1:1 support, delivering pre-planned lessons, and monitoring students on break times. The successful candidate will be able to promote social and emotional development, respond calmly to display behaviors, and work effectively with individual students.
Desirable skills include experience working with young people with SEND, good knowledge of Safeguarding and Health and Safety, and experience or knowledge of National Curriculum subjects.
