About the Opportunity

Jacobs is currently recruiting for an Equipment Reliability Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services Business.

This is an exciting role with the opportunity to gain great experience in the Nuclear industry, supporting our clients based at stations or facilities for periods of time.

Candidates will be familiar with the requirements of working in a regulated environment providing ER support and as a Jacobs employee, you will deliver work to high HSSE standards in compliance to HSSE regulations.

Key responsibilities include preparing technical reports, reliability reviews and other safety case supporting documentation, working to continuously improve maintenance practices within the customer organisation, and manipulating complex data sets to bring out rational understandings of how plant is operating effectively.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Degree qualified engineer (or accomplished engineer through apprentice route with relevant expertise)
  • Ability to work in UK and eligible to gain BPSS and CTC (minimum security clearance)
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques and how this can support a reduction in maintenance (associated qualifications advantageous)
  • Proven history of data analysis which leads to making recommendations of how a system is performing and where improvements can be made
  • Understanding of equipment reliability techniques and how this can bring overall efficiencies to plant
  • Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industry (e.g. rail)
  • Knowledge of nuclear plant systems, structures and components and associated design and assessment guidelines a distinct advantage
  • Awareness of AP928 and AP913 Equipment Reliability and Maintenance Optimisation Nuclear Standards
