Job Title: Catering Operations Director

VNA Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Operations Director to lead our catering team and ensure the highest quality food service for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and manage the catering operation across the Trust, ensuring that food quality, presentation, and service meet the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus, focusing on healthy, fresh, and seasonal food options, portion control, and food nutrition.
  • Manage catering costs, ordering food supplies and consumables, and ensure best value is achieved from the catering budget.
  • Supervise and deploy catering staff, ensuring efficient organization of the service and maintaining good working relationships with schools.
  • Manage resources, including financial budgeting, procurement, and stock management, to ensure the catering operation is cost-effective and efficient.
  • Maintain the Trust's premises and equipment, adhering to Health, Safety, and Hygiene policies and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Catering management qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Credentials in health and safety training.
  • Proven experience of leading a catering team, preferably within the education sector.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver, with the ability to implement effective plans and solutions.
