About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bodyshop Advisor to join our team at Stephen James (Automotive) Ltd. As a key member of our Bodyshop team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our Bodyshop and SMART repair department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a courteous and efficient estimating and reception service for customers, reporting to the Bodyshop Manager and liaising with colleagues across the Centres.
  • Sell Bodyshop time, products, and services, liaising with insurance companies and their engineers where necessary.
  • Manage incoming enquiries, administrative tasks, and phone calls, making customer bookings and scheduling appointments to minimize waiting periods.
  • Ensure all completed SMART repair jobs are invoiced correctly and keep our workload control spreadsheets up to date to ensure efficient vehicle repairs.
  • Oversee the return of vehicles to customers, explaining the work done and any charges, and regularly update customers on repair progress, additional work needed, and vehicle completion.
Requirements
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry or accident repair centre/bodyshop environment.
  • Valid manual UK driving license and eligibility to work in the UK.

Benefits

We offer a competitive basic salary of £25,740 with an OTE of £34,500 per annum, working hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We also invest in personal development and training, offering a wide range of market-leading benefits to our colleagues.
