About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Apprenticeship Skills Tutor to join our team at OnlyFE. As a key member of our Curriculum Team, you will play a vital role in delivering and assessing apprenticeships in Engineering (Mechatronics) Apprenticeship Standard.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team helping to develop the next generation of engineers. You will have experience of supporting the development of up-to-date knowledge, skills, and behaviours and have a good appreciation of employer skills needs. This will help to create a brighter future for these enthusiastic learners.

The rewarding position involves coaching, assessing, and supporting apprentices on Engineering courses. This role involves regular use of e-portfolios and carrying out on-site performance reviews and assessments to ensure the next generation of mechatronics technicians are the very best. Using your excellent IT skills, you will maintain accurate records of student progress via tracking systems and e-portfolios.

You will need to be able to build good relationships, manage a caseload of apprentices, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assess apprenticeships in Engineering (Mechatronics) Apprenticeship Standard
  • Support the development of up-to-date knowledge, skills, and behaviours
  • Have a good appreciation of employer skills needs
  • Coach, assess, and support apprentices on Engineering courses
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress via tracking systems and e-portfolios
Requirements
  • Experience in Mechatronics within industry
  • A relevant industry NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
  • An A1/V1 Assessors Award (or equivalent)
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Teaching Qualification
  • IQA Award is desirable
