We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Specialist to join our team at Thorn Baker Industrial. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient installation and maintenance of plumbing systems in our facilities.
Main Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Carry out first and second fixes in bathroom pods and modular pods, utilizing 16mm pipe and adhering to strict quality standards.
- Quality Control: Conduct pressure testing of plumbing systems to guarantee optimal performance and report any quality or design issues to our Production Supervisors.
- Production Targets: Work collaboratively to meet production schedules and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with our quality systems and checks.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, our risk assessment, and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Verify that all works are manufactured in accordance with our drawings and specifications.
- Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workplace.
- Experience: Previous experience as a plumber at a professional level, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and practices.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical boilers and the ability to work with 16mm pipe and crimpers.
- Skills: Ability to pre-construct pipework from blueprints, high level of attention to detail, strong team player, and ability to take direction and ask questions when unsure.
- Qualifications: Plumbing Qualification (NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent) and proficiency in the use of power and hand tools.
- Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of technical drawings and ability to interpret them accurately.
- Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Contract
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday = 07:00am – 15:30pm
- Benefits: Car parking on site, annual Christmas shut-down, PAYE, and contribution to a pension scheme.
