About the Role
Tarmac is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team at our Mountsorrel Quarry. As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for undertaking plant maintenance, repairs, and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all plant-associated areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to plant breakdowns, repair equipment, and maintain safety and efficiency standards.
- Improve plant performance, maintain safety, and contribute to the development of the Computer Maintenance Management System.
- Utilize documents and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines for safe and efficient maintenance.
Requirements
- Experience in fabricating and welding.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Level 3 Apprentice trained or ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with TPM methodology and Continuous Improvement.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering maintenance principles and practices.
