Role: SEN Teaching Assistant in SEN Unit

School Type: Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a SEN Unit. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of how to support students with Special Educational Needs and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs in a SEN Unit
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Provide one-to-one support to students as needed
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • CACHE Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of SEN and ability to apply this in a practical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
