About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 teacher to join our primary school in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a passion for making a positive impact on young learners' lives.

Job Summary:

As a Key Stage 1 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of your students. You will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and fosters a love of learning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet all students' needs.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the KS1 curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 students.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time role until at least Christmas, offering a competitive salary of £115-£215 per day. The successful candidate must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
