About the Role:As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create and implement individualised education plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Develop and implement individualised education plans for students with SEN that involve assessing each student's unique needs and abilities, setting specific learning goals.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students' needs that cater to the individual learning styles and requirements of each student.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure that each student is progressing towards their goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences.
- Keep detailed records of each student's progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback.
The successful candidate will be required to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, prior experience in teaching or supporting students with special educational needs, excellent communication skills and a deep commitment to helping students with SEN.
A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection is also essential.
