Overview

PepsiCo UK is a leading manufacturer of food and drink products, including well-known brands such as Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, and Monster Munch. Our manufacturing site in Coventry is a state-of-the-art facility that produces a range of products, from snacks to beverages.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Coventry. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency of our production lines, combining technical competence with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to lead and initiate change.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for a designated area, driving performance to meet, maintain and exceed quality, food safety, cost, service and safety measures.
  • Coordinate and motivate the General Operator team to achieve daily production targets.
  • Provide operational control for all elements of running production equipment to include set-up, maintenance and cleaning.
  • Monitor, control and carry out basic fault diagnosis and repairs on equipment and machinery.
  • Taking responsibility for good manufacturing practice with excellent hygiene and safety standards within the designated area.
Requirements
  • Validated mechanical and maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of machine operation, fault-finding and repair.
  • Logical approach to problem solving, and practical skills on plant equipment.
  • Skills in communicating effectively and mentoring/influencing others.
  • Able to find opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
