We are seeking a skilled Cloud-Based Data Engineer to join our team at Ipsos.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience using cloud-based platforms like AWS and Google Cloud Services to build and maintain serverless data pipelines for efficient processing and warehousing of large-scale datasets. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well in a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and test cloud-based data pipelines to process and store large-scale datasets.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses to efficiently store large, complex datasets in a cost-optimal manner.
  • Ingest and assemble data from various disparate sources using SQL and Python.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to identify project goals and requirements.
  • Migrate development code into production, providing technical assistance and guidance to refine processes.
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing infrastructure and codebases.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience in Python development.
  • Proficiency in Python libraries/frameworks such as Django, Flask, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
