Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Housekeeping Assistants to maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Housekeeping Assistants to ensure they meet their cleaning schedules and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure the home is maintained to a high standard.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of care and services to our residents.
• Monitor and maintain infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infection.
• Provide training and support to Housekeeping Assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience of providing housekeeping services in a care setting, preferably in a dementia residential setting.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
• NVQ / QCF Level 2 qualified in Catering and in Housekeeping, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
