Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the delivery of card product initiatives within our Cards Transformation team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects, products, and features within our Cards ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cards industry expertise, with experience in implementing and delivering new card products, features, and running workstreams on larger, wide-reaching card projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate card projects, ensuring effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Deliver project updates and programme reporting, presenting findings as needed.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Make objective decisions and recommendations, escalating risks and issues as necessary.
  • Build relationships at all levels, influencing stakeholders and challenging decision-making to drive continuous improvements.

Project Management

  • Oversee the successful completion of assigned projects or tasks, establishing and maintaining the correct structures to control and monitor deliverables.
  • Assign, schedule, review, and monitor project work to ensure completion on time and within budget, raising and approving change requests as needed.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify roles, secure resources, and gather estimates for project team members.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that may arise during project implementation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting projects within a cards environment.
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum delivery models as well as traditional waterfall.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing Mastercard or Visa card projects, either as an Issuer and/or Programme Manager.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the full project/development life cycle and concepts required to implement effective IT systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
