Job Overview

The Senior Supplier Operations Specialist will be responsible for building strong relationships with various teams across the business and new and existing suppliers. The successful candidate will provide specialist support to Commercial and AWE Stakeholders in regards to supplier onboarding, management, governance, and reporting in the Business System (Fusion).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage approved suppliers, including maintaining supplier records and due diligence activities.
  • Ensure supplier evaluation question sets are regularly reviewed by Technical Assessors and are up-to-date with current legislation and policies.
  • Support the management of allocated supplier relationships.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
Requirements

We are seeking individuals who are comfortable standing up and presenting to Senior Managers. Previous experience in supplier management or supply chain is not essential, but transferable skills and experience are highly valued. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

AWE offers a competitive salary range of £36,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and level of experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including:

About the Role

This is a hybrid role, with typically 1-2 days onsite per week. We encourage applicants to apply promptly to avoid disappointment if applications are high and the role therefore closes. However, please note that this is not an urgent application request. The successful candidate will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role, which will be funded by AWE.
