Job Description

As a Cleaner, you will be part of our team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Penistone St Johns Primary School. The role involves carrying out basic cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors and rooms. Additionally, you will be responsible for emptying bins, cleaning restrooms, and ensuring sanitary stations are fully stocked. Building relationships with clients on site is also an essential aspect of this role. Furthermore, you must follow health and safety guidelines at all times and report any defects or damages.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors and rooms.
Empty bins and clean restrooms, ensuring sanitary stations are fully stocked.
Build relationships with clients on site, promoting a positive and welcoming environment.
Familiarize yourself with and adhere to health and safety protocols, reporting any defects or damages promptly.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in cleaning or caretaking roles. Essential skills include knowledge of basic site health & safety, excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and good organizational skills with attention to detail. A confident and friendly demeanor, combined with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, is also highly desirable.
