Job Overview

We are seeking a Biomedical Mathematician to join our research group at The Francis Crick Institute. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and application of mathematical and computational models to understand complex biological systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, physics, engineering, or computer science, with experience in data analysis and programming. You will be responsible for designing and implementing computational models to investigate the behavior of biological systems, as well as interpreting results and drawing conclusions.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position (4 years) on Crick terms and conditions of employment. The estimated salary range for this role is £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Develop data-informed computational models to investigate imaging-derived spatial immunophenotypes of patient samples and predict the effect of immunotherapy for renal cancer
  • Lead projects and collaborate with other researchers on spatial biology and multimodal data integration
  • Present research at lab meetings, consortium meetings, and relevant events at The Francis Crick Institute
